". . . I commissioned a wand based off of Edgar Allan Poe because reasons. We worked together to design the wand and then she made it, carving and staining it /by hand/. I knew it was going to be amazing but what I was almost more amazed by was the packaging and amount of extra time put into it.

Upon opening the box, I found the letter in the first picture. Sealed with an official “P” wax seal I was already in awe. . . Okay so if that wasn’t awesome enough, underneath was this fantastic sheet of paper I unfolded to find a fake document detailing the contents of its packaging, assuring that there was no Non-Tradable goods. I posted the top of it in a picture but I don’t want people stealing her lovely form so the rest will remain for my eyes and her customers’ eyes only c:

Okay so underneath all of this is the box. It was wrapped in brown parcel paper and twine. There’s a feather stuck to it, and owl stamps, and “Owl Post” written on it and just hasldgkjhakldjghklshdflkjgh. Sweet jesus. Under the twine is a card with my name and address and her name and address. And under that is a business card. “Praeclarus Wands. Marana L. CEO, Wandmaker, and Everything Else.” Makes me giggle.

I carefully open the packaging trying to leave it intact (I succeeded) and there was the handmade box with the Praeclarus logo on top. In the top of the box is a slip that says, “Praeclarus Wands. Wood Type: Hornbeam. Core Substance: Unicorn Tail Hair. Length: 13 1/4 inches.”

And on top of the wand is this tiny little envelope and inside is a letter with the SMALLEST handwriting I have seen in my life. It reads, “Wand info sheet. Your 13 1/4” wand was whittled by hand from a 3/4” diameter oak dowel by wandmaker Maranda Li over the course of several days. It was stained with red mahogany, sedona red, and ebony stains. The burned Raven alludes to both Edgar Allan Poe and Hogwarts founder Rowena Ravenclaw. Hornbeam is a strong wood that bonds to those who harbor a “single, pure passion,” according to Mr. Ollivander. It is a fast learner and quickly personalized to its owner’s principles, that renders it effectively unusable by others. Unicorn Tail Hairs are the most consistent of the three best wand cores and are the most loyal, remaining attached to their first owners. The strength of unicorn wands lies not in power, but in reliable results.”

And then I unfold the pretty ribbon and there it is. I don’t know if you guys can see it really, but there is a WHOLE RAVEN BURNED INTO THE HANDLE OKAY. THAT IS AMAZING. It’s got a totally perfect weight to it and fits my hand PERFECTLY. I can’t believe how amazing this is. . . You all need to go commission her NOW DUDE. NOW. Okay that’s all."
