Announcements
Praeclarus Wands is back and open for business!
I am happy to announce that I have returned from Japan! A couple things are currently happening:
Thank you for your continued support! If you have any questions about wands, please feel free to contact me. |
This site is now praeclaruswands.com
Big update! This site can now be reached via www.praeclaruswands.com. Of course, the old URL (sites.google.com/site/praeclaruswands) remains functional; however, now that the site is on its own domain, things are much nicer. The new URL is also accompanied by a handful of visual changes. The header now features a beautiful Praeclarus Wands storefront concept by platinasi.deviantart.com (used with permission), and the overall color scheme has been redesigned around bronze and white to match. The front page has a brand new splash image with three of my personal favorite wands. The contact page, which previously only showed my email address in plain text, is now a form into which you can submit your queries directly. The site certainly feels a lot more like a home, doesn't it! |
Praeclarus Wands Mailing List
Sign up here if you would prefer to be notified via (infrequent) email when my commission waiting list is open, and to get updates about wand commission availability. No spam, I promise, and your information will never be shared with any third parties. Thanks! |
Hiatus extended until July 2019
I have renewed my employment contract here in Japan for a third (and likely final) year, so I'll be back home and available for commissions again next July. Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to getting back into wandmaking soon! |
Website updates (8/23/2017)

On hiatus until July 2018
I have accepted a position with the Japan Exchange and Teaching program as an English teacher, so I will be living and working in Japan until my contract expires. I am therefore unable to take any wand commissions until I return home. Sorry! |
Anticipating a HIATUS
I have just received notice that I have a good chance of being hired for a year-long employment contract starting July 2016. During this time I would be out of the country, and would need to put wandmaking on a 12-month HIATUS. I'll know for sure if I get the position in April, so waitlist adds will be PAUSED until that time. If I get the position, the waitlist will STAY CLOSED while I'm away, and work on wands will be put on hold until I return. If things don't turn out for me, the waitlist will OPEN again, and I'll continue to work through it like normal. Watch this space for updates! |
Summer Commission Updates (6/24)
Some good news about waitlist spots: my summer might be more free than I expected, so I may have time to do more wands than I currently have waitlisted. If you're on the December list, I may contact you in about a month to see if you're interested in placing your commission early! I've also started making wands for those on my June list, and will be contacting those on my September list when that batch is completed. I'll do my best to keep the waitlist updated with progress percentages so you can see how things are going. Cheers everyone! |
Wand Waitlist for 2015 is closed.
Apologies for the long silence -- school really had the best of me for a while. To reserve a spot, email me with the following:
